Teradata error TDP0388 TDPWTO: UNABLE TO SEND REQUIRED OPERATOR MESSAGE

Teradata code TDP0388 TDPWTO: UNABLE TO SEND REQUIRED OPERATOR MESSAGE

Error description

error explanation...

Explanation: TDP encountered an error while requesting an action or security message be sent to to an operator console.

Similar errors for non-critical messages are ignored, the message is lost, but TDP operation continues.

Generated By: TDP.

Notes: This condition is indicated by a system dump rather than a message. The abnormal termination reason code (in

R15) contains the error codes from the system dependent ISSUE-OPERATOR-MESSAGE service. For MVS, if the reason code contains X’00000810’, then the system WTO service failed with the return code preserved in General Register 3 at the time of the abnormal termination. Codes X’50’ through X’64’, inclusive, indicate various system console or hardcopy log problems.

Remedy: Collect diagnostic information (including the memory dump, if any) and contact Customer Support personnel.
